Interpretation Activities

Period activities are our way of inviting you to meet the characters that embody the history of the Plains of Abraham, and to experience their everyday life. Between theatre and re-enactment, period presentations are meant as a dynamic approach to help us discover the park'sheritage!

BATTLES EXHIBITION (1759-1760)

GUIDED TOUR OR SELF-DIRECTED TOUR

 

Accompanied by a Canadian militiaman, explore the history of the Siege of Quebec and the Battles of the Plains of Abraham. In an evocative and interactive setting, discover the crimes, punishments, and laws of the time. Then, during a stunning immersive projection, listen to the poignant stories of those who lived through the Battles of the Plains of Abraham. 

 

Next, explore military life in all its aspects in a participatory manner. Finally, admire the treasures of the magnificent collection of artifacts in the Identities exhibition.

WOLFE AND MONTCALM

Discover the full history of the battles and get a front-row seat to a friendly confrontation between Generals Wolfe and Montcalm. To determine the title of the best general, they organize a competition in which you will be involved. Musket loading competition, military quiz, and surgery will definitively settle this thorny question.
